The PARA’KITO® repellent sprays and roll-ons, with proven long-lasting efficacy against tiger mosquito were tested in a Virology laboratory in Toulouse (France) and demonstrated a very strong virucidal activity against SARS-CoV-2. This efficacy, similar to hydro-alcoholic gels, was confirmed after 3 min and after 3 hours, making the PARA’KITO® repellent sprays and roll-ons a long-lasting protection against SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19).
The PARA’KITO® repellent products tested: EXTRA STRONG (red) spray and roll-on, STRONG PROTECTION (green) spray and roll-on and DRY OIL (white) spray.
The PARA’KITO® repellent sprays and roll-ons which were tested do not contain alcohol. Their virucidal activity stems from active ingredients which do not evaporate and remain on the skin, providing a proven 3 hours protection after application.
Therefore, those mosquito repellents with unexpected virucidal activity can be applied as a protective measure targeted against contamination of the hands through contact with surfaces.
