U Gel 1:0.8 is a liquid gel of 33ml with a carbohydrate composition between glucose (maltodextrin) and fructose of 1:0.8. Each gel provides 20g of carbohydrates + electrolytes. The flavors with a + sign mean they contain caffeine. This rule applies to our entire range and for this product it is the Colage that has 21mg of caffeine in it.

The gel is easy-flowing, so you do not need to drink water in connection with intake. The gel contains all 4 major electrolytes that you lose through sweat (Sodium, Potassium, Calcium and Magnesium) in a well-balanced amount.

Packaged in a long narrow package of 160x45mm which is sized to fit well in both bike pockets and running tights. It is just so full that it can be folded lengthwise once too if you want it shorter.

Developed by Biomedicinare in Sweden. Manufactured according to HACCP / GMP

All ingredients are approved by EFSA (European Food Safety Authority).

100% vegan.

Should I take caffeine gel at the beginning or end of training/competition? Gel with caffeine should be taken continuously throughout the activity. We recommend 1-2 caffeine gels per hour, which gives a maintenance dose of caffeine equivalent to half a cup of coffee per hour, which means that you maintain the caffeine level in your body if you loaded up with caffeine via e.g. U Intend before the start. A caffeine gel late into the session/competition can also have an extra invigorating effect at the end of a long race.

How many can I take per hour? You can take up to 5 U Gel per hour, but it almost only works when cycling. When running and skiing, the recommendation is 3-4 U Gel per hour if it is your only source of energy.

How quickly does U Gel provide energy? A psychological/neurological invigorating effect takes place directly in the oral cavity, then it takes 5-10 minutes for the energy to pass through the stomach and reach the small intestine, where the uptake of carbohydrates for further transport into the bloodstream and muscles begins and we can begin to feel the effect.
